CODE 10 and Malaysia Super League collaboration kicks-off

CODE 10 offers football fans a chance to win up to RM10,000 cash and train with a Malaysia League football team

(Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia — 29 July, 2007) CODE 10 styling creams and gels, a brand under the personal care division of Colgate Palmolive Marketing Sdn Bhd announced today its collaboration with the 2006/7 Malaysia Super League (MSL).

‘As football appeals across all ages, cultures and races, Colgate Palmolive Marketing is pleased to collaborate with MSL for the first time this Merdeka month. Our sponsorship aims to highlight that CODE 10 is a great styling product for all lifestyles, especially those leading an active one. We feel that an association with football was the best way to bring our product closer to our consumers. In the following months, our company will commit over RM30,000 in the form of cash and prizes. Our quest is to fulfill the dreams of young Malaysian football fans by getting them closer to experiencing the game,” Colgate Palmolive Marketing Sdn Bhd Managing Director, Mr. Lefteris Vitalis enthused.

This collaboration consists of the ‘CODE 10 Half-Time Penalty Shoot-Out’ and a ‘Spot the Ball’ Contest. The ‘CODE 10 Half-Time Penalty Shoot-Out’ will be aired over RTM 1 beginning 4 August 2007. Members of the public attending the football match can take part in a pre-qualifying penalty shoot-out held outside the stadium grounds prior to the start of each match. Five participants who qualify in this round will get a chance of a lifetime to shoot a penalty kick on the field in front of thousands of football fans. Those who score will earn a place in the ‘CODE 10 Half-Time Penalty Shoot Out’ Finals to be held on 8 September 2007, during the Malaysia Cup Finals. The ultimate winner walks away with RM10,000 in cash!

The ‘CODE 10 Spot the Ball’ contest runs from now until 30 September 2007. CODE 10 consumers will need to guess the location of the ball on the photograph provided and answer a simple question on CODE 10. Cash and fantastic prizes including a one-day training session with an M-League Team and official National jerseys are up for grabs. Contest forms are available at all major retail outlets.

It’s about taking the extra step to improve interest in the sport.
